Canine Good Citizen

Canine Good Citizen

This class prepares dogs for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test.  The CGC is a certification program designed to reward dogs and owners who demonstrate good manners at home and in the community.  This class will practice all the skills necessary to pass the CGC test such as, accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, supervised separation from the owner, and basic obedience.  The CGC certification has many benefits which include acceptance into Animal Assisted Therapy Programs, advanced classes or even dog daycare and boarding facilities.
