Puppy 1

Puppy 1 class will focus on teaching bite inhibition, socialization with dogs and people, calming handling, focus, obedience on and off leash and prevention of problems.   Reliable hand signals and verbal cues are reinforced to develop off-leash control.  The use of treats to reinforce classical conditioning which will help your puppy be happy and confident around people and other dogs.

If your puppy is under 12 weeks of age, it is recommended you take Puppy Kindergarten before Puppy 1.  You can also take both classes simultaneously.  Puppy 2 will follow Puppy 1.

Registration Fee: $175 for 5 weeks when purchased as part of the full Puppy Training Course, which includes Puppy Kindergarten, Puppy 1 and Puppy 2, there is a $50 savings on the package.

 

Requirements:

Age: 10-18 weeks old at the start of class

Schedule: See class calendar for available dates and times.

Required Vaccines: First two rounds of DHLPP or DHPP.  The second round must have been administered after 8 weeks of age, but at least 7 days prior to the first session of class.

Length: This class is $175 for 5 consecutive weeks when purchased as part of the full Puppy Training Course, which includes Puppy Kindergarten, Puppy 1 and Puppy 2, there is a $50 savings on the package. Each class is approximately 1 hour per week.  Each class will meet on the same day and time each week, unless a break is noted.
